Artist's Comments

Took this back in May... it's actually taken at the same period as the Flying Sponge one in the gallery, but only now have I done something with it. It was underexposed, so I used Irfanview to adjust the colours to balance it properly.

Unfortunately it has highlighted the compression of the original jpg, even though it's over 3mb. I guess the colour representation is just naff with colours that low in jpg's. It thinks you can't see it, and don't want to, so it doesn't save that detail.

I have entered it into the Competition, but with that colour oddity I doubt it'll get anywhere. Shame since as a photo I really like it otherwise.

Anyway thanks for looking. :) I guess even bald eagles have bad hair days. :p

Thanks Cy!

Wow over a month to reply... that must be a record even for me. Both Cheyanne and Danebury are awesome, but the former just does not stay still enough to guarantee a good shot.

I do like this shot... I love the expression, but I like the story behind it too.
